Senior Director of Revenue Management, Busch Entertainment Corporation
Rochelle DelaRoche graduated from UMR in May 1983 and in the following 25 years has worked for two fantastic employers: Monsanto Company and Anheuser-Busch. Although her career experience has not been engineering related in the traditional sense, she attributes most of her success to the outstanding education she received from the engineering management program.
She worked briefly for Monsanto’s construction and engineering division during a major expansion of the electronic materials plant located in St. Peters, Missouri. Her work involved construction and project accounting for that jobsite along with chemical plant projects in the St. Louis area. She subsequently moved to the W. G. Krummrich Plant in Sauget, Illinois and jumped into logistics and procurement roles for the next several years. Working as a raw material planner and MRO buyer, she was able to implement new techniques and modernize many functions because of the knowledge she had from UMR.
In 1988, a chance to join Anheuser-Busch presented itself, and Rochelle made the switch from industrial chemicals to beer. She was lucky to join the Promotional Products Group and held a number of positions all related to buying, inventory management, pricing, and analysis of merchandise – hats, T-shirts, beer steins, golf bags – anything with a beer brand logo. Rochelle offered excellent leadership and employee development experiences, while managing catalog teams and sales planning analysis teams.
