About James A. Faletti

Jim Faletti, president of Strategic Insights, Ltd., has more than 30 years of human resource and general management experience with companies of all sizes. For the past 13 years, Faletti has worked extensively with small to midsized businesses to assist them in maximizing productivity and value through effective human resources and management practices. In addition Jim has devoted much of his practice at Strategic Insights to helping companies identify, clarify and implement their people related strategies.

He founded Strategic Insights, a management consulting firm, in 1994 to provide HR advice and services to businesses. His work with small businesses and feedback from clients led to his formation in 2002 of HR Insights Ltd. to develop simple-to-use products and services to meet the HR needs of that underserved market.
Previously, Faletti held senior management positions at various corporations where he was responsible for staffing, change management, culture clarification and maintenance, compensation, training, employee relations, labor relations, benefits, diversity, security, safety, quality programs and all administrative activities required to support these functions. He spent 10 years in the manufacturing and human resources functions at the International Harvester Company (now Navistar International) prior to serving ITT Corporation as a group director of human resources and as a vice president of employee relations. In this role at ITT he provided HR services to several thousand employees at six locations around the world.

Faletti also was head of Human Resources for MCI’s Midwest division, where he built a new, full service HR function that helped the division grow from $250 million to more than $1 billion.

He later served as vice president of human resources at Ameritech, where he provided HR services to thousands of employees in a billion dollar-plus business unit.
In addition, Faletti has served as senior vice president of technical services for VideoCart, Inc. a high tech, publicly traded, start up company. In this capacity, he managed the functions that developed, installed and maintained wireless communications devices in the retail environment.

Jim has served on the Board of Directors of the First Savings and Loan Association of Bureau County, on the Board of Directors of the Chicago South Chamber of Commerce, the Crete, Illinois Zoning Board of Appeals, and as President of the Lincolnshire East Homeowners Association also in Crete.

Faletti earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in engineering management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
