About Ken Williams

Ken Williams is the Manufacturing Director of Automatic Transmission Operations for Ford Motor Company. Ken has over 34 years of experience in the automotive industry, including hands-on expertise in vehicle assembly, engine manufacturing and transmission manufacturing. Ken has managed operations in Canada, Europe, and the United States. He has a consistent history of transforming under-producing operations to exceed goals for safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Ken began his study at UMR in 1966. There he was a member of the Inter-Fraternity Council, Student Council, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Ken became vice-president of the Epsilon Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha in 1969. Ken earned his B.S. degree in Engineering Management in 1971.

Ken is currently a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers. He is also on the Executive Board for the Graduate Engineering Minorities Consortium where he is the Audit Director. Ken holds numerous quality and safety awards. In 2003, he received the Rev. Theodore Hesburgh Leadership Award for supporting minority fellowships in engineering and science.
